He co-founded Coradian, a telecommunications company, in the mid 1970’s. Under Mr. Bruno’s leadership, Coradian sold the first computerized telephone system in the United States. Mr. Bruno was first elected to represent New York’s 43rd State Senate district in 1976. His fellow Republicans in the Senate first elected him Senate Majority Leader and Temporary President Pro Tem in January 1995.
